Feel Free to Add Essential Oils
Written by Pam on July 27, 2011
Dear Skincare Guru, Thank you for reviewing the products and for the kind words. Originally we scented the Hand & Body Lotion with organic essential oils of sweet orange, cinnamon and clove. We had done a consumer test at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, and although the responses were almost even over a range of five scents, this one got a few more. Surprising to us, however, was the the response to our scented product from people who later bought it: half the people thought it was OK but not great, a few liked it a lot, and the rest found it disgusting. We've had an overwhelmingly positive response since we removed the scent, but I recommend to scent-lovers to add up to 8 drops of their favorite essential oils to the lotion. Aura Cacia makes a very fine line, at reasonable prices. To your good health! - Pam
Wonderful, but....
Written by SkincareGuru on July 23, 2011
This lotion is marvelous for moisturizing and protecting the hands and body. However, it lacks fragrance and in fact presents itself with an odor of pancake syrup or hay, in my opinion. I wish that they would offer a fresh scented option for those individuals who prefer fragrance in their body lotions, such as myself. Fragrance is best to be avoided when applying a product to the face, but on the body, it is a refreshing experience.
Wonderful product!

I've had issues with my skin my whole life (eczema, allergies, etc), and kind of gave up on having pretty skin. Now I have a six-month old baby, and am breastfeeding. I am really trying to be aware of the ingredients of the products I use, and to choose products that are better for me and my little baby boy. I've had a bit of a mysterious skin rash/hives the last couple of weeks, and during this time, I received my first order of novAurora products, which included this body lotion. It has really made a difference. I love all the products I ordered (skin care) but the hand and body lotion is really calming down my rash/hives and making my skin feel incredibly soft and smoother. When I bought it I was having a really bad eczema outbreak (I thought it was hives because it was everywhere on my arms and chest, but my dermatologist said nope, it was eczema. I've never had it that bad before), and the hand and body lotion worked wonderfully. It calmed my skin down, made it feel incredibly soft, and it took away the itching. I still have some dryness on my arms but it's nothing like the red, raised, ugly skin I had. Thank you for making such wonderful products!
Try the jojoba!
Written by Pam on June 27, 2011
Thank you for your review. We suggest two things if people say they can't get enough moisture from the Hand & Body Lotion: 1) Double your intake of essential fatty acids (fish oil, flax seed oil, whatever you prefer), to work from the inside out. And keep using the lotion on your hands, elbows, cuticles, etc. 2) Try the jojoba oil and use it regularly, especially on lower legs and feet.
You'll be soft and silky in no time!
Was hoping for more

I like that fact it is organic and texture is nice. I was looking for a lotion that would help relieve my dry skin on my lower legs and feet. I now live in the desert and having a challenging time finding one that really nourishes my skin. Maybe their oil would help?
Rely on hand lotion for relief of psoriasis
Written by Michael, Martine's husband from Green Bay on May 19, 2011
I'm using the hand lotion several times daily for relief of my psoriasis on my hands. I especially like how fast it's absorbed and not greasy. I'm able to return to working at my computer within 5 minutes without leaving greasy finger prints all over the keyboard. I also have been able to return to working with my hands doing some wood working and wrenching on my motorcycles. Your hand lotion helps prevent the skin on my hands from drying and cracking (which is very painful) which limits how much I can use my hands. Thanks for providing such quality products that actually work!!! I'm spreading the word!

Love this product. Absorbs fast, non-greasy and no scent. Bought a bottle for my daughter to try who is allergic to conventional lotions. Can't wait for her to try it.

HAND & BODY LOTION

I just want to say that I love your products, particularly the hand and body lotion. I have made a point of thanking Lucky's [Boulder store] for carrying your products on several occasions and keep passing the word to my friends. I want to talk to [other Boulder store] because your products are much more "pure" than many others they do choose to carry... Anyway, thanks for the time, effort and money (I'm sure!) that you have invested in creating better, healthier, and SAFER alternatives for those of us out here who are so grateful for positive choices.
Thank you!

I've used the body lotion for the past two days. I love it! It glides on rich and silky not at all greasy, with a pleasant scent.
